What’s up Gaming Heroes!
Have you ever been somewhere on the open fields of Azeroth in desperate need for a mail box? Or maybe you are proud owner of a longboi AH mount and only miss your personal mailbox? Keep on reading, I have the perfect solution for you.
How to get started?
To start the questchain to obtain the portable mailbox toy you need a little preparation. It is highly recommended you have the Dalaran Hearthstone and are level 35 or higher to be able to fly in Azeroth. If you are max level it’s helpful to track low level quests. You can grab the Hearthstone at the Lounge in Dalaran, if you don’t have it yet.
Now go to Dalaran (Legion) and check the ground around the mailboxes, if you’re lucky, you can find a lost letter lying there. Pick it up and bring it to Madame Goya in the sewers. Alternatively you can ask a friend for a lost letter or buy it from the auction house.

Meeting the Postmaster
You will have mail from the Postmaster telling you to meet him in his office, you find it right behind the professions area at the Pet Cemetary in Dalaran. Click on the Mail Tube to reach the office and follow the quests around Dalaran. Eventually you go through a portal to get inside icecrown citadel, kill the mobs, loot the corpse and get back through the portal.
Meeting an old friend
Now you have to jump through a few town portals and fly to the given quest location in Feralas. You will meet Johnny Awesome, a NPC you might know from earlier quests and cameos, and fulfill some tasks for him, which require you to some legwork. It’s worth reading the quest texts on this part, they will probably make you smile.
Time to sort the mail
The Postmaster sent you new mail, use your Hearthstone back to Dalaran to read it, then meet up with him in the Postmaster’s office. He’ll give you a quest and you can start a minigame. If you finish the minigame, you get an achievment and finish the quest chain. You have to sort 15 letters within 60 seconds to the right continent, it is not too hard, you will be told the location and the area. After a couple of tries you should be completing it.
How good do you know the World of Warcraft?
To obtain the portable mailbox toy and a few other items, like a title, a pet and a lost letter that you can give to your friends or sell in the auction house, you have to speak to the post master again and ask him to do the advanced minigame.
To complete it you have to sort 30 letters in 60 seconds, which is also alot harder, because you will only have the name of the location without the area. You will probably need some tries, but you can find a helpful table with all of the possible locations here.
I received the toy – and now?
With this toy you can summon Katy Stampwhistle to where your are standing and talk to her to get access to your mailbox.
You can access the toy across all of your characters and it has a 3 hour cooldown per character, which means it’s the perfect item for an alt army player, too.
