This guide will get you started with flipping recipes from vendors onto the auction house. You can be any level to make gold using this method, however its advisable to have 500 gold starter capital to get going.
Recipe Flipping for Gold
The basics outline of this gold farm is as follows:
- Fly or Run to locations to get your recipes.
- Buy Recipes.
- Go to Auction House and sell recipes.
This sounds extremely simple when broken down but when put into practice its a little work doing cancel scans and getting around to buying all your recipes.

Leatherworking Vendor: Heavy Leather Ball
Engineering Vendor: Gnomish Universal Remote and Blue Firework.
Burbik’s Tradegoods: Opal Necklace of Impact, The Jade Eye.

Blacksmith: Goldenscale Coif
Tailoring: Soul Pouch, Crimson Silk Robe, Haliscan jacket, Dress Shoes and Haliscan Pantaloons.
Alchemy: Transmute Iron to Gold, Philosper’s Stone,Transmute Mithril to Truesilver, and Transmute Arcanite.
Cooking: Tender Wolf Steak.
Locations: Un’Guro Crater (both flight points)
Leatherworking: Devil Saur Gauntlets, Devilsaur Leggings
Blacksmithing: Runic Plate Boots, Runic Plate Leggings, Runic Plate Helm and Runic Plate Shoulders.
Cooking: Tender Wolf Steak.
Value
For me on my realm the total value of these recipes when sold on the auction house gains me around 70,000 gold. This when repeated gains me an average of 180k gold per month. I could maximise this but this is done passively for me.
